I was eagerly looking for the IPO of MySQL the successful open source database, darling of all startup companies.
I was surprised to see the news this morning that Sun acquired MySQL. This seems to be a very promising acquisition for the Sun. I hope they are able to make good use of it . I also hope MySQL will provide better services to customer and remain free and open source.
